Statutory Advocate - North Yorkshire

Job Title & Salary: 
Statutory Advocate (IMCA and Care Act Advocate) £21,715 pre-qualification - £22,220 qualified (pro rata)
Location & Hours: 
North Yorkshire, mainly around Scarborough and Ryedale areas.25 hours per week

We are looking for a dedicated person with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team of advocates in North Yorkshire. The role would ideally suit someone who lives within the York/Scarborough/Ryedale area. You will work out of your home address visiting adults in hospitals, care homes and community settings.

You will receive regular supervision and support from your line manager and peer support from your colleagues. Full training will be provided for the role

Advocates work closely with health and social care professionals to positively promote the views of the people they support A person centred approach, the ability to empathise and represent the person's wishes and feelings about key decisions, being their voice where necessary are all essential parts of the role.
